Connecting the heart of Man with the heart of GOD

Visitor's Guide

Welcome to Northside Community Church!
Our mission at Northside Community Church is… “Connecting the hearts of people with the heart of GOD.”
Northside is a Christ centered ministry that will encourage and challenge you in your relationship with GOD. We provide Bible based preaching and teaching at our Sunday Morning Services, Sunday Morning “Foundations” Classes, and Wednesday “Night Bible Institute”.

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
Our Sunday Morning Worship Service is a time when we come together in vibrant worship led by the Northside Praise Team. We then hear a passionate message from the Word of GOD, the Bible.  The service concludes with an invitation/altar call, at which point persons have an opportunity to respond to the Gospel and surrender their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. This time is also used to meet the needs of people desiring prayer. Our altar ministry staff is available to pray in regards to those specific needs. Children’s Church (5-12 yrs) and Youth Ministry (13-16 yrs) are held during the time of the Sunday morning message.

 YOUTH MINISTRY (13-16 yrs old)
Ignite the Fire youth ministry meets in the Youth Sanctuary after praise and worship, during Sunday mornings service. Messages relevant to this age group are shared by the youth pastors. Other youth events such as summer camps, True Love Waits, and other activities occur through out the year

“FOUNDATIONS” CLASSES
“Foundations” is a series of lessons that help a person new to Northside, grow in Christ. These classes are also for those who desire to serve in ministries within the church. “Foundations” classes are held Sunday mornings @ 9:30am downstairs in the fellowship hall.
Topics for “Foundations” classes are listed below…

THE BIBLE… To deepen (or form) your conviction that the Bible, as GOD’s Word, can be trusted more than your feelings, values, opinions, and culture. To give you deep and lasting confidence in your GOD-given ability to understand the Bible.
GOD…To gain a deeper sense of GOD’s love for you as a Father and to develop a sense of amazement about GOD that results in a decision to spend time in getting to know Him.
JESUS…To enable you to get to know Jesus Christ better than you have before. To develop an understanding of Jesus’ nature as both God and man. To encourage you to act on the truth that you learn about Jesus.
THE HOLY SPIRIT…To experience a new sense of security in your relationship with God based on the presence of His Spirit in your life. To see how the Holy Spirit is at work in your life and live out the truth that you are filled with God’s Spirit.
CREATION…  To deepen your conviction that the world and all that is in it are created by the personal action of a personal GOD.
SALVATION… To give you an understanding of God’s gift of salvation that enables you to love God more deeply for what He did for you and tell others more confidently what God can do for them. To give you an assurance of your salvation that results in a deepening security in God’s love and appreciation for God’s grace.
SANTIFICATION… To build a foundation of truth that will lead to a lifetime of growth in Christ.
GOOD AND EVIL… To give you the truth you need to answer questions concerning evil in this world and how to live a God honoring life in the midst of it.
THE AFTERLIFE… To change the way you think about yourself and others: from a focus on the here and now to a focus on eternity.
THE CHURCH... To deepen your love and commitment to the church and see your part in living out all five purposes of the church.
